I am absolutely in love with teaching. I am a qualified Portuguese teacher who has

studied the language at tertiary level.  I see myself as friendly, engaging, outgoing with a sense of adventure and a passion for life.  Portuguese is home language which makes it easier for me to converse, convey and teach in Portuguese. I am also fluent in English and French.

I can describe myself as super patient, with a wicket sense of humour.

As most teaching professionals I have a passion for teaching and have done so for the past 13 years.

Currently I live in Brazil and I completed my studies at the federal university of Maranhão (UFMA), Brazil with a Qualification in  graduated in modern languages  Portuguese and English

Meet Lucy!

I am a Mom of two boys. I was born in Cape Town, South Africa. My parents both immigrated with my siblings to South Africa in 1960’s from the Madeira Islands Portugal. It was very important that my parents sent me to Portuguese school as well to also learn to speak, read and write. It was vital to my parents that it was a priority and I am so grateful for that, with that knowledge I can empower other people to speak, read and write Portuguese.

I speak three languages being Portuguese, English & Afrikaans.

I have a passion for people and their cultures and respect their beliefs. I enjoy meeting new people and love interacting. I am a tour guide by profession in Portuguese and English in South Africa.

I love music, dancing, photography, nature, wildlife (especially saving and conservation). My goal in life is to travel and visit many different places and learning more about cultures of people.

I am hard working, ambitious, polite, kind, friendly and eager to learn from others.

I’m very patient and extremely committed with the work.

I like to read to improve the knowledge of the language and for general knowledge.
I’m a very calm person, professional individual that prefer the similar things in life.

Because I have a passion for languages, with Portuguese being my native language, I also speak and write English, French, Spanish and have a good knowledge oof local (SA, Swaziland, and East Timor local languages)

BA Majoring in Portuguese-History (2004)
BA Majoring in World History (2006)
Major in Portuguese Language for Foreigners (2012)
Qualification for work in Libraries and Centre of Communications

I have more than 16 years of professional teaching and translating experience.
Since 2004, I taught in Portugal (several schools), East Timor, South Africa, Swaziland, Angola, and Namibia.

I taught school kids from nursery to grade 12 (Cambridge and IEB) and adults.
I work now for the Portuguese Embassy in Windhoek (Instituto Camoes)

Meet Joana!

I am a passionate teacher and all education. I see myself as dynamic, creative that will go the extra mile for my students to assist them in reaching their personal goals. I always teach with patience. Portuguese is my home language, and I am fluent in English and partial in Spanish and French.
Born and raised in Portugal. Left when I was 20 and moved to
England to study. After completing my BA, moved to Mozambique
where I taught in a private school and worked with local
primary school teachers in teaching methodologies.
When I moved to South Africa, I completed my Masters
degree and started teaching Online.
